Who are we?

The administrator of your personal data is the EGMEDIA entity whose website you are using. We are a fashion service writing about trends, fashion, beauty and broadly understood lifestyle.

How can you contact us?

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or want to exercise your rights:

What personal data do we process, for what purposes and on what legal basis?

Personal data is information which, alone or combined with other information, makes it possible to establish your identity (i.e. first and last name, email address, address, but also certain data about your online activity).

We process your personal data primarily to present you with content close to your interests, to provide services or sell products, to organise and run competitions, and for marketing purposes.

Below you will find detailed information on how we use your personal data in relation to specific processing purposes.

Services that do not require login

We process personal data to provide services that do not require logging in. The basis for processing personal data is the performance of an agreement for the provision of electronic services in accordance with the terms of service (Art. 6 sec. 1 point b of the GDPR).

Direct marketing, advertising

We process your personal data to display ads to you in our services. They may concern our services and products as well as the services and products of our advertising clients. These ads may be unrelated to your preferences, matched to the topic of the page, or matched to your preferences and interests (e.g. based on data about your activity in our services). The basis for processing personal data for this purpose is our legitimate interest (Art. 6 sec. 1 point f of the GDPR).

If you consent, our Trusted Partners will tailor the displayed ads to your interests and reach you with ads after you leave the website or app, using data collected while you browse websites (including our pages) via cookies and other similar technologies. If you consent, partners may also share this data with other entities involved in displaying or commissioning ads. Personal data for this purpose is processed on the basis of your voluntary consent (Art. 6 sec. 1 point a of the GDPR).

In connection with monitoring the effectiveness of campaigns, we and our Trusted Partners and advertising clients use certain information, including identifiers constituting personal data and information about your interaction with a specific ad (i.e. information about ad display, ad clicks, movement between our domains, etc.). The basis for their processing for the stated purpose is our legitimate interest as well as that of Trusted Partners and our advertising clients (Art. 6 sec. 1 point f of the GDPR).

Statistics, traffic analysis, service improvement, comfort of use and IT security

For these purposes we process your personal data including in particular IP address, operating system and browser information, language preferences, unique ID and device ID, as well as information about your activity in our services or apps.

The basis for processing is our legitimate interest (Art. 6 sec. 1 point f of the GDPR).

Analytics through Google Analytics 4 via Cloudflare Zarazm

We run visit statistics only with your consent expressed in the cookie banner (the "Analytics" category). After consent is given, the Google Analytics 4 tool (ID G-DT5TSKHNE9) receives information about page views and selected events (e.g. form submission, without message content or personal data). The tool is loaded not from your browser but from the Cloudflare network edge (the Zarazm service), which limits the amount of technical data passed to third parties. On your device, our own analytics cookies are stored (including _ga and technical identifiers cfz_*), and your decision is remembered locally in the browser. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the page footer. The basis for processing is your consent (Art. 6 sec. 1 point a of the GDPR). The processors are Cloudflare, Inc. (USA, hosting and edge layer) and Google (Analytics service); transfers outside the EEA are safeguarded by standard contractual clauses and the Data Privacy Framework programme.

Contact form

When using the form on the Contact page, you provide us with your first and last name (or nickname), email address, optionally your phone number, and the message content. The data is used solely to respond and is never emailed anywhere or passed on. Submissions are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database (European region) and automatically deleted after 30 days. The basis for processing is our legitimate interest in handling correspondence (Art. 6 sec. 1 point f of the GDPR).

Social media

We run pages and profiles on social media, i.e. Facebook and Instagram, to promote our business, inform about promotions, products or services, communicate with users, and keep statistics on the use of our social media pages. For these purposes we process personal data of users of these portals to the extent that users are active on our profiles and channels in accordance with the terms of those portals. Personal data processed for this purpose includes in particular nicknames, logins, profile pictures, first and last names of people who like or follow our pages, profiles or subscribe to channels, as well as data contained in posts, comments and reviews published by users, data on reactions and other user activity, and other data published by users on our pages, profiles and channels on social media run by the entity.

The basis for processing is our legitimate interest (Art. 6 sec. 1 point f of the GDPR).

Social media buttons and plugins

By placing social media buttons and plugins (i.e. Facebook, Instagram) on our websites, we give the operators of these portals the opportunity to collect personal data of our website users and further process it for purposes determined by those operators. We do this in two ways:

  • We redirect you via a button to the website of the relevant social media portal, where you can like or follow our fanpage and recommend it to your friends; your activity on pages containing buttons and plugins as well as on social media portals is tracked by the operators of these portals, and the data collected in this way is used by them for marketing and statistical purposes, among others; this applies to users of our websites who are also subscribers of social media services;
  • Your activity on pages containing buttons and plugins is tracked by the operators of these portals, in particular for statistical purposes and to check whether you are a logged-in user of that portal; this applies to all users of our websites regardless of whether they subscribe to social media services.

The purpose of placing social media buttons and plugins on our websites is to increase the attractiveness of these pages and to enable you to post comments on our pages and share content that interests you with others. We process and give social media portals access to the indicated data on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6 sec. 1 point f of the GDPR).

Details of the processing of your personal data and how to exercise your rights in connection with the processing of personal data by a social media portal are described in the privacy policy of that portal. The Facebook privacy policy can be found at: https://www.facebook.com/policy

Events

If you decide to take part in events organised by us, we will process your personal data, in particular your first name, last name and contact details (and in cases justified by the nature of the event, also your age) in order to organise the event, enable you to take part in it and ensure safety, on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6 sec. 1 point f of the GDPR).

We record the course of events organised by us. If you decide to participate in an event organised by us, your personal data, in particular including your image recorded during the event, will be processed for the purpose of broadcasting, preparing photo coverage, recording the course of the event, as well as using the recorded materials for promotional purposes and making them publicly available, on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6 sec. 1 point f of the GDPR).

Handling complaints and requests, answering questions

For this purpose we process your personal data contained in a complaint, request or question, or a message on a social media portal. For this purpose we also process data about your use of our service, data related to the performance of an agreement concluded between us, or other data related to the reported complaint, request or question.

The basis for processing is our legitimate interest (Art. 6 sec. 1 point f of the GDPR).

Establishment, pursuit and enforcement of claims

The basis for processing is our legitimate interest (Art. 6 sec. 1 point f of the GDPR).

Data transfers

As a rule, the entities to which we pass personal data are based in a country within the European Economic Area (EEA) or in a country recognised as ensuring an adequate level of personal data protection. Some of the entities to which we pass data are based in countries outside the EEA. We make every effort to ensure that data transfers are lawful and that appropriate safeguards are in place. What are cookies and other similar technologies?

Cookies are small text files installed on your device when you browse websites. Cookies usually contain the name of the website they come from, the time they are stored on the end device, and a special number. We use cookies that differ from each other in purpose, lifecycle and the Internet domain they come from. In our services and apps we also use other similar technologies such as pixels, plugins, tags, web beacons, fingerprinting and Local Storage. Together we will continue to call these technologies cookies. We have divided them into groups and described them below.

We store cookies on your device and read information contained in cookies already stored on your device if you consent. This does not apply only to cookies necessary to ensure the functioning of our services, to provide you with electronic services, and to ensure the security of using our services and apps.

Service cookies – for what purposes do we use cookies?

We use cookies and data collected through them to provide services requested by users (necessary cookies). We use our own cookies to enable users to log in to services and apps, to access service and app resources intended only for logged-in users, to enable users to navigate smoothly without having to repeat the authentication process each time, and to ensure the security of the services provided. We use cookies and data collected through them to optimise the use of the website or app, for statistical purposes (for these purposes we use external entities providing analytics services to us: only Google Analytics 4 loaded via Cloudflare Zarazm, see the analytics section above) and for marketing purposes (described in detail below).

Cookies and other tracking technologies of Trusted Partners

Our services and apps contain cookies and similar technologies from our Trusted Partners. These files and other similar technologies collect information about user activity, including information about interaction with a specific ad. This information is processed for marketing purposes (described in detail below). They enable us and our Trusted Partners to reach users with ads after they leave our pages and to use the advertising services of other entities, including advertising network operators, and to display profiled ads matched to their interests to users.

Cookies (apart from those necessary to provide services ordered by the user) are installed only if the user consents.

Detailed purposes for which we and our Trusted Partners use cookies (apart from cookies necessary to provide services) and process the personal data collected through them:

  • Personalisation – collecting and processing information about how the user uses the service in order to personalise ads or content for the user over time in other contexts, for example on other websites or apps. • Selection and delivery of ads, creation of ad reports – collecting information and processing previously collected information in order to select and deliver ads to the user and to evaluate the delivery and effectiveness of these ads. This includes using previously collected information about the user's interests to select ads, processing data on displayed ads, their frequency, time and place of display, and information on whether the user took action in connection with an ad, e.g. by clicking on an ad or making a purchase. This does not include Personalisation, which involves collecting and processing information about how the user uses the service in order to personalise ads or content for the user over time in other contexts, for example on websites or apps.

How to manage and delete cookies?

By changing your browser settings accordingly, you can delete cookies already stored (e.g. together with your browsing history and cache files) or block new cookies from being stored. Depending on the settings applied, you can block or delete all or only some cookies. For example, you can block the storage of persistent cookies or cookies from other websites, as well as delete files stored in a certain time range or during a given session. You can also choose to browse our website in "private" mode, which will limit the scope of data recorded by your computer.

In the menu bar of your web browser, under "Help", you can find information on how to refuse the storage of new cookies, how to delete cookies stored so far, how to request notification about the storage of a new cookie, and how to block cookies.

Changing the configuration of your web browser to prevent or limit the storage of cookies on users' devices may result in limitations of the functionality of the services provided. Deleting stored cookies while a service is being provided may have similar effects. This may make it impossible to log in or terminate the session after logging in.
